They have had several mergers in the last 2 years. There account records are now extremely hard to navigate. Last years 1099’s were delayed till late February and had no cost basis. Prior to the mergers I was very satisfied.

I got so tired of the poor customer service at TD Ameritrade that I closed my account and took a chance with TradeKing. It was night and day – I should have done that earlier. Their customer service is fantastic and their staff qualified. I wanted a discount broker and I was ready to tradeoff with customer service but I did not want to lose too much on the quality either. TradeKing exceeded my expectations.

Statements and other tax info are online for an extended period of time. That came in handy last year when I got audited, I was able to go back 5 years (I think they keep the statements for only 2 years but the tax documents are online for 5 years). Great when you are not that good at keeping paper records.
