Global events can drive US stock prices. As a result, many US investors keep an eye on futures indices such as the Nasdaq Futures to track the Nasdaq after hours as well as the Nasdaq premarket. For the Nasdaq’s long-term trend plus seasonality chart, try Nasdaq Chart Today.
The following chart presents the Nasdaq futures live for today. A 5-day and 21-day (there are typically 21 trading days in one calendar month) version are also included for perspective. The charts use one minute data (two minute data is used for the 21 trading day chart) and provides prices as long as the Nasdaq futures contract is open for trading. Trading opens Sunday through Thursday at 6:00 p.m. EST and closes Monday through Friday at 5:00 p.m. EST with a brief trading halt from 4:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST.
