Bullish is a term used to suggest that a market or stock is going to rise in price. The term bullish can be used both for a trader or a stock. A bullish trader or a bull is one who is expecting the stock price to go up and therefore resorts to purchasing of stock.
A stock or market in bullish phase is one that is generally rising. Generally, a rise of more than 20% in a stock or market indicates that it is in a bullish phase (a.k.a. bull market).
